Ibiza Hotel connects guests with Facebook using RFID

We Are Social put this up and think this has huge potential for all kinds of events. Can see these tags incorporated into your phone at some point for you to swipe but this is a great starting point and so easy and cost effective. Here is a great example in Ibiza!

RFID tags are already used in hotels as keys but the future may be with auto check-ins and photo tagging. The Great Wolf Lodge waterpark-cum-hotel allows guests to register wristbands to their Facebook account and use the webcam equipped “Paw Posts” to link images straight to their wall.

Utilising a similar system the Ushuaia beach hotel in Ibiza encourages guests to use their bands to check-in to locations, in order to make their friends jealous. In addition to the users page, all of the information updates automatically onto the hotel’s Facebook page creating a fast moving online community.

    How to draw bunnies

Thought I would post a little something which I saw in the guardian today. It is part of their regular feature offering children or slightly imature adults like myself the opportunity to learn something new from a chosen art teacher!Really nice idea to get kids inspired and get them to be creative.

In today's lesson, Simone Lia, creator of a comic book, Fluffy, about a bunny that thinks it's a person, shows you how to create your very own cottontail. Feel free to draw your own and post them! Click below for a little help to get you started and some ideas on what sort of bunny you want to create.

    The Selby

Was shown this site by a friend the other day and been dipping in and out for the last few days and thought I would share. The Selby is a place where people who live in creative spaces can upload pictures of their homes for the world to see. It reveals some very unusual homes, from people living in and old nightclub to old warehouses or just what people have done with simple spaces.

All in all it is very addictive and packed full of character. Some lovely creative inspiration from some of the images and a few laughs too.

Check it out and you might become an addict yourself!

    Bike by Me

Now I have always liked single speed bikes and still do even though every person who's in the know has to now be riding one. What I have always loved about them was taking a simple bike and making your own by making it personal to you. Some different wheels, new paint job, colour tyres. It's the same feeling I got when I was younger with my raleigh burner.

The problem is what if you don't have the time to find an old frame and go through the hassle of building your own bike? Well now there is an answer with Bike by Me. Pick your size and personalise your bike to whatever colour you desire from the comfort of your own home and wait for it to arrive in all its glory. Take a look and design one yourself! Or click below and take a look at a couple other have done!

Puma & Yves Behar's New shoe box

As I have mentioned before I love good packaging and often spend more time admiring the box the product comes in rather than the product itself. One thing that has always bugged me though is that great packaging can be better if it had another use and could provide us with another product after it has served it's original purpose.

We have all bought shoes in the past and kept the nice show box and maybe reused it as as art box or something to keep your junk hidden away but in the end it get thrown away like all the other junk you keep inside it. Until now.

Puma have teamed up with Yves Behar and designed a shoe box which then becomes a bag. Not only is this a great piece of design thinking but also very green and has saved the company alot of money in production. Great work!

    Some great Iemza Street Art

Using the walls as canvas and incorporating elements already there into his work IEMAZ creates some dark and atmospherics portraits in abondoned locations. Whether in black and white or when using colour they are very inpresive. Elements of work like Miro, Cezanne and Picasso look to come through and may be his influences but all in all some lovely work!
